Green Aventurine is used primarily to both activate and clear the heart chakra. Vera Cruz amethyst creates an excellent connection with spirit, and a protective energy surrounding the user.
Chevron Amethyst
Chevron Amethyst also called “banded amethyst” is a combination of white quartz and amethyst in bands or V striped patterns. Botswana Agate
Gray and waxy in appearance. Strongly recommended for firefighters, people who smoke, and for anyone who comes in regular contact with excessive amounts of heat or smoke. Helpful for anyone who wants to quit smoking. Beneficial to the circulatory system, the skin, and the brain. A pleasant side effect may be giddiness. Soothes depression.
Dendritic Agate
One or the most powerful protective stones for travel, for it can prevent you from getting fatigued or having an accident when traveling down the highway.
Fire Agate
Most often found in North America. Comes in shades of orange, brown, blue, or green. Strong connection to the energies of the earth. Excellent stone to use before meditating. Induces a feeling of relaxation. Helps alleviate problems relating to the stomach and endocrine system. Helps you examine and deal with problems in a calm and safe manner. Helps take the edge off difficult experiences. Recommended for dentists, optometrists, and those in the healing profession.
Green Agate
Worn to improve the heath of the eyes. In the past, a woman who drank the water a green agate ring was washed in was magically guarded against sterility.
Mexican Lace Agate
Bolsters and strengthens your attitude and mood.
Moss Agate
Connects one to Nature. Translucent, transparent agate containing inclusions of minerals that look like moss or foliage. Improves ego and self-esteem, emotional balance and strengthens positive personality traits. Allows one to see all the beauty one’s eyes touch. I used Moss Agate a the centerpiece in item #201009
Red or Blood Agate
This stone was worn in ancient Rome to guard against insect bites, to heal the blood, and to promote calm and peace.
Tree Agate
Tree Agate is said to assist with introspection and self-discovery. It can give a wider viewpoint of the world. Tree agate relives tension, fever, and skin eruptions. It also brings plentiful crops.
Turitella Agate
Turitella is a protective stone. It is especially good protection against spells. As with all fossils, it can help increase accomplishments in the area of business and add excellence to one’s environment. They also aid one in being open to change and new ideas. Traditionally, fossils have been used to aid in curing diseases and ailments of the skeletal system, bones, hands, and feet.
White Lace Agate
It can support optimism and elevate your thoughts.
I really enjoy the healing properties of agate they make me feel better just by handeling them when I am making a new piece of jewelry. If you are wanting agate for use with chakra healing then keep the color rule in mind. The color rule being use the color of the stone that matches the chakra color.

I started making jewelry when I was 10 years old, when my parents brought me a shoe box full of broken jewelry and beads. I knew nothing of jewelry except how to wear it. Through trial and error I learned about tool marks and the specialty tools that are required to make jewelry. I am always adding new tools to the list of tools I already have. I started designing my own jewelry when I realized that most jewelry is made in mass. I don’t want to walk into some kind of function and see 3 or 4 of the same earrings or necklaces on other people, I want to have unique and one of a kind jewelry, something that people notice. I started making pearl pieces when a dear friend of mine asked for a pearl necklace, “something that is not my grandmothers pearls”, So she could wear pearls without worrying about losing her family heirloom.
The name is derived from its occurrence at the Achates River in southwestern Sicily. Banded Chalcedony The appearance of the stone is waxy and soft. Almost always translucent and occasionally transparent. Agates are grounding stones. They help obtain a better physical/emotional balance. They work to raise consciousness. Builds self-confidence.
Agate comes in many different colors. Sometimes its banded or lacey. agates come from all over the world even wood can be agateized. I enjoy using agate just handling them make me feel better and more positive like in item 201003.
I have spent the last few weeks learning about networking. So I thought it was time for something a little different. I am now trying to learn as much as I can about grants. How to apply, what is needed to apply and where to apply. So much information out there it seems a little overwhelming.
